This is the kind of story that can't be premediated. Two girl friends showed up to hang out at my house tonight. I was busy culling my music cd collection for yard sale castoffs. How it turned into a fashion show of 60s era hats is best left to third-party speculation. Now, I like hats but I hate to wear hats; I have a respectable hoodie collection but I only don the hood when the weather is extra nasty. So, anyways, there was this one hat that looked great on both of my friends and they both wanted it and I could not choose between them. I proposed a three-round game of rock/paper/scissors to randomly decide the question. Friend 1 knew the game but Friend 2 did not. We had to 'splain it to Friend 2 plus play a couple of practice rounds. lol You know what they say about Beginner's Luck? Well, Friend 2 won the best of three competition. Friend 1 went home with a vintage hat also but the contest over the first cool hat was way more entertaining. I wish our military and their opponents would agree to the kindly random game of Rock/Paper/Scissors. I'd give the winner a classic hat. signal: Cynical noise: Cable news
